AND HE SAW THAT

THERE WAS NO MORE

A PRACTICE FOR

ABDICATE TO THE ROOFS

The project involves the photosensitization with the cyanotype technique of local volcanic stones: these blue stones will take on the role of cornerstones of an anarchitectonic imaginary, understood as a design that frees space and bodies, to imagine themselves as guests of the sky -top of the world-, an architectonic element by definition, so much so that when Galileo pointed the telescope towards the sky, he saw that the sky was not there.

The project also involves the creation of frames of imaginary anarchitectonic forms by modeling transparent materials.

The inspiration comes from the reflection on sacred places now devoid of upper cover: man has built around and on the head of spaces to get in touch with the sacred, when the sacred was already his roof.

The place chosen for the work is the Historical Archive, due to the peculiarities of its spaces, in which they dialogue in an open and closed dialectic way, making it a liminal place in which to abdicate many things.
